HISTORY

Started with Yeovil Olympiads in 1971 running 53.4 for 400m in the SL Div 3 promotion match in 1972.
Improved to 50.1 in the Senior Southern Counties T&F championships in June 1973 (as an U20).
Injured in 1974, ran under 50 for the first time (49.8) in the SW v South match Sep 1975. Improved to 49.4 in 1977 (SL Haringey) and 49.2 in 1979 (June CP and Sep Copthall).
Best relay leg was 48.6s

PB 100m 11.2s 200m 22.3s 800m 1:59.6

After a long time away from the track, ran again for YOAC in 1990-1994 running 36.8/300, 50.9/400 and 23.0/200 as a 39 year old in 1994.

Injured again in 1995 (first year veteran) only managed 53.56 to exit the World Vets (Buffalo) at the SF stage.

Good progress in 1996 coming 7th in European vets at Malmo (52.56 in the heats)and gold medal in the 4x400m relay.
Third in the 1996 UK Vets (52.99 Exeter)
In 1997 was 4th in the UK Vets (Blackpool) and won the SEAA Vets (52.65) at Enfield and won the Vets Inter Counties (53.33) at Solihull.
Ran little in 1998-1999 but was 6th at the European Vets in Finland in 2000 (FINAL 54.20s M45 HEAT 54.55s)
Made the 2001 World Vets final in Brisbane (53.61 for 5th)
Contested very few Open competiions subsequently but won the World Medical Games in 2004 (56.56s Garmisch, Germany), 2005 (57.84s Alicante) and 2006 (58.84s Pescia Italy)

10th in the EMAC 400m semis (63.6) 63.45s in the heats
14th= in the EMAC 200m semis (27.44s - an M60 PB)

Very few competitions this year but ranked first in the UK rankings at 200m
