Colin Bovell is currently the Head Coach at the University of Bath and specializes in Sprints and hurdles (up to and including 400m and 400m Hurdles) and Strength and Conditioning. Currently coaching Jack Houghton (50.66/47.14 400mH/400m), Chris Wakeford (50.82 400mH), Jacob Paul (50.71 400mH in conjunction with Marina Armstrong), Simon Merrill (50.94 400mH), As an athlete he has competed for GB U23 and Welsh Senior teams. Colin has worked as a professional coach for over 18 years including a 5 year period for UK Athletics as Regional Performance Manager, UK Sprint Hurdles National Coach and Leicester Tigers Sprints, SAQ & Strength & Conditioning. He is a qualified Sports Massage Therapist, He has Coached athletes to Olympic Level. Past athletes include Damien Greaves (Olympic Quarter Finals), Dominic Girdler (UK indoor 60mH Champion and Euro U20 medalist), Tamsin Stephens (Commonwealth Games Manchester) and many others to international level, Megan Southwart (GB U23 Champions, and Euro Junior Qualifier). |
