GB Transplant Athlete
Competed in the British Transplant Games every year since 2010
Competed in 2 World Transplant Games; Malaga 2017 and Newcastle 2019
After having undertaken a live saving multiple organ transplant (Liver and Small Bowel) in January 2005, i decided to attend my first British Transplant Games in Bath 2010 where I learned of my passion for sport. Since, I have attended all subsequent British Games to date and became part of the GB Transplant team in 2017 following on from my performances in the sprint events at these games.
I wouldn't have been able to achieve any of this without my transplant - and everyone can potentially save the lives of others, simply by signing up to the organ donor register. It takes all but a few minutes. It can be done either by going to this link: https://www.organdonation.nhs.uk/register-to-donate/ or by calling 0300 123 23 23.
