David worked as a cabinetmaker before breaking his neck in a road accident; he got into athletics as part of his spinal rehab. He broke Championship record in each of first 3 throws at 2006 World Champs on way to Gold. He Holds F51 World Record of 10.22 set in Birmingham in 2004. David’s Uncle played for GB football team at Melbourne 1956 Olympics.
