Chris is a cerebral palsy athlete, and struck Gold and Silver at Sydney Games in 2000 and was just outside the medal positions in Athens 2004. Chris retired from the sport in 2004 before returning again in 2007 and proved still capable of world-class performances.

In 2008 he won gold at the Paralympic World Cup and went on to set a new PB of 28.91m and win silver at the Beijing Games, his fourth Games. Chris has a degree in Computer studies from Nottingham Trent University and enjoys playing computer games and supports Nottingham Forest FC.
