The current worldwide standard for statistical rankings at the elite level is that gun-tape times should be used.
The Power of 10 recognises however that in large-scale road races there can be a significant difference between the official gun time and the chip time which is a more accurate representation of the time a competitor actually took to complete the course.
Therefore we will display PBs, SBs and order rankings based on chip times where known and/or used and gun times otherwise. We will endeavour to record & display both versions and also offer, under login, the ability to see rankings ordered by gun time.
