Symbols Explained



Sometimes we use certain symbols, which appear beside a performance, to further
explain a performance.



  • a  course slightly downhill (net drop is over 1.0 metres/km but less than 5.0 metres/km). Such performances are still eligible for rankings but not for records.

  • A  at altitude.
    Note that we do not record altitude-converted times.

  • w  wind-assisted

  • #  over-sized track

  • c  chip time. When no gun time is available

  • i  indoor

  • +  split time e.g. a 1500 time in a mile race.

  • e  estimated time

  • m   means the position mid-race at the time a split time is taken
